Kristin’s current research with multilingual students investigates how students negotiate their multiple languages to construct their identities and authority in the writing classroom.

Following a decade of teaching high school English, Kristin returned to graduate school where she teaches first-year writing at the University of Michigan.

Kristin lives in Grand Rapids, MI with her husband and two young children. She spends her days reading, writing, cooking, and traveling as often as she can.
